WHY I WALK

“I walk because of my grandfather who passed away from small cell lung cancer in 2011. I was nine at the time, and did not know what cancer was, let alone why it would take my best friend away from me. I did not want anyone to have to go through what my grandfather did again, but how could I make that happen? For a young kid like me, fundraising was the answer. I joined Team Tara along my fundraising journey, and do the Jimmy Fund Walk each year in order to help beat cancer.”
